“Seek not within the world to find your Self.” ACIM lesson 127.

Once in a while a feeling inside wants to reach outside my Self, hell bent on finding that everything will be ok if the outside looks good. It pushes me, it won’t rest, until I’m looking at a reason to believe everything will be better, since I’m depending on the outside.

It says things like this…

I’m doing this, so it must mean I’m useful.

I’m getting that, so it must mean I’m going to be ok.

I’m this way, so it must mean I’m worthy of love…

It’s survival mode. Notice it when it happens, I tell myself. I’m teaching me I must not believe it, use it, or let it teach me. I want to be taught by the Holy Spirit, and it’s love has infinite joyful possibilities for me.
